How It Works

Using International Standards to link Intellectual Property Metadata.

ISONYM allows you to generate signed Resource Description Framework (RDF) files that you upload to your own domain name. These files allow search engines to parse Intellectual Property claims.

A claim within an RDF file is a statement that conforms to the following syntax: <subject> <predicate> <object>.

For example:

If you were Jose Rizal (the writer), here are some of the claims you could make.

  • Jose Rizal is the author-of the work Noli Me Tangere.
  • Jose Rizal is the author-of the work El Filibusterismo.
  • The work El Filibusterismo is also-known-as the work The Reign of Greed.
  • Charles Derbyshire is the translator-of the work The Reign of Greed.
  • Jose Rizal is the author-of the work Amor Patrio.
  • Marcelo H. Del Pilar is the translator-of the work Amor Patrio.
  • The work Amor Patrio is also-known-as the work Ang Pagibig sa TinubĂșang Lupa.

Given that Jose Rizal has been assigned ISNI:0000000081201592. One can then generate an ISONYM-signed RDF file containing the following (verifiable) links:

Sample Marcelo Del Pilar Query
